Logistics Integration Method

This document outlines the logistics and fulfillment integration architecture for kno.today, enabling seamless order processing, shipment dispatch, and real-time tracking for KNO customers across Pakistan.

1.1 Fulfillment Model

KNO operates a direct-to-consumer (D2C) fulfillment model from a centralized dispatch location. All orders placed on kno.today are fulfilled in-house with third-party courier dispatch.

Dispatch Location: Wazirabad / Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan
Dispatch Window: Orders confirmed before 2:00 PM are dispatched same business day
Business Days: Monday – Saturday (excluding public holidays)
Primary Markets: Lahore Phase 1 fi Karachi + Islamabad Phase 2 fi National Phase 3

1.2 Recommended Courier Integrations

The following courier partners are recommended for Shopify integration. DAP should configure these as shipping carriers within the Shopify admin:

Primary (Phase 1 – Lahore)
•  TCS Express — API available via TCS eVault; priority courier, next-day in Lahore
•  Leopards Courier — national reach, Shopify plugin available, COD supported
•  PostEx — COD-first logistics platform with strong Shopify integration; recommended for COD management

Secondary (Phase 2 – National Expansion)
•  M&P (Mustaqim Pakistan) — B2B-capable, national coverage
•  CallCourier — strong central Punjab coverage
•  Trax — emerging tech-forward courier with Shopify plugin

1.3 Shopify Logistics Integration Architecture

Option A
— Third-Party Logistics App (Recommended)
•  Install ShipAZ, Qurrier, or PostEx Shopify App from Shopify App Store
•  Connect API credentials from chosen courier partner
•  Enable auto-label generation on order confirmation
•  Configure auto-fulfillment trigger: order paid fi label generated fi status updated to ‘Fulfilled’

Option B — Custom Webhook Integration
•  Build a webhook listener on order creation event
•  POST order payload to courier API (name, address, weight, COD amount if applicable)
•  Receive tracking number response and write back to Shopify order via Fulfillment API
•  Trigger automated SMS / WhatsApp tracking notification to customer

1.4 Tracking Notification Flow

Upon dispatch, customers must receive automated tracking updates via:
•  SMS — triggered via Twilio or local SMS gateway (e.g., Sendgrid Pakistan, Zong/Jazz SMS API)
•  WhatsApp — via WhatsApp Business API (360dialog or Meta direct); include tracking link + KNO brand

1.5 Warehouse / Inventory Sync

Inventory Management: Shopify native inventory or mapped to MapBiz ERP via custom sync script
Low Stock Threshold: Alert triggered at £ 50 units per SKU
Reorder Flag: Automatic notification to ops team via WhatsApp or email when threshold breached
SKU Mapping: YOUR PEAK 24-pack, YOUR PEAK 30-pack, YOUR RECOVERY 24-pack, YOUR RECOVERY 30-pack

1.6 Returns Logistics

Returns are managed as a reverse logistics flow. Customers initiate a return request via WhatsApp or the website. Upon approval, a return pickup is scheduled (Lahore only in Phase 1). Nationwide returns require customer self-dispatch with reimbursement
